The High-Security Registration Plate (HSRP) is a standardized vehicle license plate issued in India to improve security and reduce vehicle-related crimes. It is mandatory for all motor vehicles as per the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, and its rules. Here's an overview:

1. Non-Removable and Tamper-Proof:

   • Made of aluminum and fixed using snap locks, making it impossible to remove or replace without detection.

2. Unique Laser Code:

   • Each plate has a unique laser-etched code that is permanently embedded and linked to the vehicle's details in a central database.

3. Hot-Stamped Chromium Hologram:

   • A chromium-based hologram is hot-stamped on the plate, showing the Ashoka Chakra, which ensures authenticity.

4. India Inscription:

   • "IND" is hot-stamped in blue ink along with the hologram for clear identification.

5. Retro-Reflective Film:

   • Ensures visibility during nighttime and low-light conditions, contributing to road safety.

6. Permanent Registration Details:

   • Embossed and hot-stamped for durability, ensuring the details remain intact over time.

7. Third Registration Sticker (For Specific Vehicles):

   • For certain vehicles, like BS-IV and BS-VI-compliant ones, a color-coded sticker is affixed on the windshield, showing details like fuel type, registration number, and emission standards.
